The Hope Clan Has Grown

Say Hello to Scarlett Eileena Hope

I haven't posted in a little while, but I promise I have a good reason!

The last couple of months have been incredibly hectic, but well worth all of the effort (most of which was definitely on Abi's part rather than mine). We spent the better part of July running back and forth to Scarborough Hospital due to concerns from the maternity team at Bridlington Hospital—only to arrive in Scarborough (since Bridlington has next to no facilities) and be told that everything was just fine.

As you can imagine, it was a very frustrating month. But come the 13th of August, everything became worthwhile. At 23:13, our little girl, Scarlett Eileena Hope, decided to make a very quick entrance into the world.

Since then, we’ve both been running around after the little one and adjusting to our new lives. We are slowly getting there, though I think it will take us a while longer to truly get used to the combination of sleepless nights followed by full workdays.

My blog has naturally taken a bit of a back seat, but it certainly hasn't been forgotten. Once I finally figure out the right balance of sleep, work, and free time, I plan to get back to writing at least one post a week. I’m still tinkering with a project or two in the background, though they’ve been put on the back burner for the moment.
