What is the point in the iPhone 11 Pro Max?

I’ll start by admitting that I own a boatload of Apple products, and I’m a fan of theirs—especially when it comes to security. Having said that, I’ve come across something that is bothering me immensely: the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Don’t get me wrong, the specs are great. You get Apple’s latest A13 Bionic chip (which is more powerful than the MacBook Air’s i3 processor), 64GB/256GB/512GB of storage, a 6.5-inch display, three 12MP cameras on the back (plus one on the front for FaceID), 4K video recording, dual SIM capability, and all the usual features.
The problem I have with the Pro Max is that it is exactly the same phone as the iPhone 11 Pro, just with a slightly bigger screen and an hour’s extra battery life. That’s it. I really don’t see the point. The iPhone 11 Pro is already bigger than the iPhone 7 Plus, which is my daily driver, and that is more than big enough; if you need something bigger, get an iPad.
There’s also the confusion regarding the lineup size: the standard iPhone 11 is actually bigger than the iPhone 11 Pro. What happened to the days when more letters or numbers after the name meant better specs and a bigger screen?
Apple’s Storage Confusion
The other thing bugging the stuffing out of me is Apple’s storage structure. Look at the discrepancy:
Where is the 128GB option for the Pro and Pro Max models? Why not just start the Pro models at 128GB instead of 64GB? My iPhone 7 Plus has 128GB, and it is perfect for me. I shoot videos in 4K and have plenty of storage for the footage, but 64GB would be useless; by the time I’ve installed the apps I need for work, plus my everyday apps, that 64GB would be gone. This is meant to be a phone for "professionals"—it’s in the name! Replace the 64GB tier with 128GB. I love the 512GB option and could be swayed by it in the future if I get back into capturing B-roll for productions, but for now, the middle ground is missing.
I’ll be replacing my iPhone 7 Plus in the coming weeks, and as you can probably tell, I won’t be going with the iPhone 11 Pro Max. It’s just not worth the extra cash for an extra centimeter of screen when everything else is the same spec.
