Isolation Day 16: I Installed windows
<
n
If it was just the once it wouldn’t have been a problem but I swear I had this happen 4 times in the space of an hour even without me restarting the computer. Now I get that it’s a new install and it’ll need security updates even though I downloaded the latest installation media (another thing that bugs me, why can’t the keep their install media up to date so you can crack straight on with what you want to do) but could they have not downloaded all of the updates and waited until I shutdown my laptop to install them all.
n
I also got the same message when the laptop was booting up, you know the one that usual pop us when you have a tight deadline to get something done, Windows is install updates don’t turn off you computer. I mean for Pete’s sake You supposed to have installed them when I was shutting down how have you got more without even being powered on.
n
Now that it’s up and running though It’s nice to be back using WYSIWYG again, especially now I’m bringing in my own set pieces. The one thing I’m going to have to do though to add some proper lighting to my blender stage mock up is add hidden mounting point in the trussing so I don’t have to recreate it all AGAIN. I thought I’d got past all of Microsofts little interruptions though as I was getting into my stride.
n
But No, since when did Microsoft start advertising their stuff in popups onto of what ever you’re working on. I swear if I could find a way to reliably run WYSIWYG on MacOS I’d be shot of Windows.
n
If someone from Microsoft is reading this, though I don’t think that’s going to happen. Please, Please, PLEASE make it so that 1) I don’t need to have any internet services run in the background, 2) Give me a way to turn off all the stupid notification and 3) MAKE THE UPDATES INSTALL ONCE.
n
Do you agree with me? Can you change these setting and I have just missed it? What do you think? Let me know in the comments bellow.
